Wonderful light conditions for bringing up all your flowers…just enough so that they’re not dowdy, but not too much so that they keep their form and texture.
There was a time in my life when, had I pulled off results as good as yours (albeit on 35 mm film) I would have been extremely happy.
Thanks, Lynne. I love our garden in Spring. I love everywhere in Spring. Can’t wait for it all to ‘spring’ into bloom!

Perth, to me, is at its best in the Spring, and you’ve captured that beautifully Louise! What a great and generous photographer you are, sharing all these life affirming images with us all.
Thanks, Marlish. I agree — it’s like someone switches the colour on in Spring!

Beautiful thoughts and words now beautiful images Your blog has it all! Do you get tired of me saying’ ‘well done’? PS the rose leaves are my favorite. the droplets of water are amazing… just amazing.
Thank you again, Penny. No, I never tire of hearing that you enjoy the blog and I look forward to reading your comments, too!
I thought I’d try a photo essay instead of writing, believing it would be easier. But, no — it took me all day. By the time I took the photos, edited them, sorted out which ones I’d use, changed my mind, took more photos because I wanted a different angle, etc. I must say that I really enjoyed preparing it, though, and it’s made a nice change from a written one. I thought that next time, I might write a line or two to go with the photos. That’s what blogging is about, too — experimenting and learning what I can do better …
Beautiful! The rose leaves are especially evocative.
The rose leaves are my favourite. I don’t know how I managed to take it — I doubt I could repeat it. The light just landed on them perfectly.
well done, you 🙂
If I fail as a writer, I might look at photography!
Beautiful images! I love the cordylines. 🙂
It’s amazing what manages to grow in sand!
