Welcome to Midweek Moment!
Once a week, Monique (of Write Note Reviews) and I will team up and share our favourite photos on our blogs.
Along with our literary pursuits, we both enjoy taking photos. Whilst we’re keen with our cameras, I cannot emphasise enough that we are amateurs. But we’ve had a lot of fun this week, playing and posing our subjects, and learning about this art form as we go.
So, we hope your eyes enjoy our little artistic diversion.
This week, we’ve both chosen images from around our homes. Mine is a teaspoon and flowers from our garden, and Monique has chosen a candle and flame.
You can also visit Monique’s blog at: Write Note Reviews.
Fab photos and thank you for introducing Monique and her blog
Hi Gulara – nice to meet you, too.
Thanks for visiting, Gulara, and I’m always pleased to introduce, Monique.
PS. Hope the memoir writing is going well …
Beautiful. I don’t know which one appeals to me more. I’ll check out Monique’s blog.
Thanks for checking us out, Pinky! Hope you’re having a great week!
I guarantee my amateur photos are more amateur than yours and Monique’s!
Hi Michelle, the trick is taking LOTS of photos. Out of all of them, there are usually a few that work 🙂
Hey, don’t give away our secrets, Monique! It was effortless, remember—just a casual shot you took as you passed a lit candle, and I always have a teaspoon covered with flowers lying around the house …
Oh yeah … #whatshesaid
Too late. Your secret is out now.
I have an amazing camera, but I am afraid it is wasted on me. Part of the problem lies with my bad eyesight, I suspect. With glasses on I can’t see through the lens-thing properly, without I could be clicking at anything.
There is a way of altering the viewfinder until you can focus it without your glasses, but I’m not sure exactly how. Also, do you have a screen, instead if the viewfinder. I know it chews up battery. Then again, you might just be looking for excuses and I’ve just slammed them down. Sorry, and pretend you didn’t read this if that’s the case!
Don’t we all?
I do that then forget to delete and now my computer is filled with flops that I will have to delete when I have a spare few days/weeks!
Brilliant girls x
Thanks, Rae! x
Thank you for the lovely comments … if only you knew how much time Louise and I played with our cameras and then agonised over which shots to share!
I actually discovered a few features on my camera that I didn’t even know it had! And, strangely enough, they make the photo better!
Lovely photos – but then I always enjoy the photos you post with your blogs 🙂
Thanks so much Helen. I’m being a bit lazy with blogging while I finish editing my MS.
Nothing wrong with that! I find I have to manage my blogging carefully too or it can take over from me actually writing books and client work, which I’m supposed to be doing 🙂
I know exactly what you mean. I’ve had to prioritise, and the blog has been trumped! I love blogging and I miss it, and there’s always something that piques my interest that I want to write about, but then I think, my blog will still be here when I’ve finished this edit. So, I’m looking at that finish line!
Absolutely 🙂 And I hope your edit is moving along well and the finish line is in sight xx
