Monique and I took our cameras outside this week.
I chose a macroshot of a Dryandra flower (Banksia sessilis), of which there are many at Lake Claremont at the moment. While I’m loving learning more about photography, I’m also enjoying getting up close and personal with nature, and noticing these details I wouldn’t otherwise have seen.
Monique chose her photo of a Macrozamia leaf for the sense of movement in the picture, and its Impressionist feel. I agree—she’s captured both!
*Once a week, Monique Mulligan and I team up to share our favourite photos on our websites. It’s a diversion from writing, and a way of stretching ourselves creatively.
