Monique and I were outside again for our photos this week. I was photographing wildflowers at Lake Claremont, including this Calothamnus quadrifidus (One-sided Bottlebrush) that was still covered in dew. A bee chose that moment to zoom in on the flower, and I captured its bottom!
Monique chose an angry ant intent on staring her down!
Midweek Moment is where Monique Mulligan and I team up to share our favourite photos on our websites. It’s a way of stretching ourselves creatively and a nice distraction from our writing. Click here if you want to see more of our Moments.
amazing photos. Louise you captured more than the bee’s bottom you even got it’s wings.in the frame.
Monique I never realized until your photo the multiple angles of an ant.
Well done!
Thanks, Penny. Yes, I love the shimmer on the bee’s wings! And Monique’s ant photo captures so much detail—it looks quite menacing!
Thank you, Penny.
Just Wow!
Thanks, Gulara!
I am loving your mid-week moments posts, Louise. Perhaps I need to have lessons with you! I would love to be able to take photos like the ones you and Monique have been posting.
I’m glad you’re enjoying them, Melinda. I’m having loads of fun taking them! I suspect you would be able to take photos like these—speaking for myself, a lot of the work is done by my wonderful camera!
