Midweek Moment #33

I have only about 3,600 words of my manuscript left to rewrite, so that’s been my primary focus this week. Consequently, I’ve barely left the house—if you don’t count walking the dogs, taking the kids to-and-from school, meeting writerly friends for coffee, going to the Booklength Project Group, and buying my husband a birthday gift—and haven’t had time to get out with my camera.

On the upside, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been posting daily photos on my Facebook page (please ‘Like’ my page if you want to be kept up-to-date), so I’ve been delving into my archives and rediscovering old photos. I found the photo below, which I took a year ago. It’s of the frangipani tree in our front garden, taken in the twilight with the moon in the background.

Monique has also found scarce time for photography this week and has dipped into the archives. After a coffee date with one of her sons, who is going through a hard time at the moment, she was reminded of a day when he was really happy and at peace.

He sat with this kangaroo at a nature park for more than an hour, the two of them just chilling together, and it was beautiful to see.

What a peaceful shot!
